I didn't have time to read the whole paper, but I did see that Nick Yee was cited. He has done a tonne of research on MMO games and you can spend hours and hours reading about it on his site: The Daedalus Project

Thanks for the link MooMoo! I read a few of the papers on the site you linked too - They are really really insightful. Really amazing!

Gah. I'm always late to the party. I never really played WoW, so I think I missed out on a lot. I thought the Leeroy Jenkins thing was really funny - Until somebody pointed out the little inside jokes about shoulderpads and whatnot. At that point I guess I looked at them like they were from outerspace.
